Activities and Open-ended problems

I created several web pages that contains some samples of archival collection from the ALA Archives at the University of Illinois Archives. Use of these samples as showcases in LIS 380 assignment has been approved by the Assistant Archivist under the term of Fair Use and will only be available for a certain period of time.

I devided my samples into five categories as follows:
  1. Text Collection

  2. Visual Collection
    • Photographs
    • Postcards
    • Posters

  3. Manuscripts Collection
  4. Multimedia Collection
    • Audio Recordings
    • Video Recordings

  5. Web Sites Collection

The reason I put Manuscripts Collection as a separate collection is that I consider it to be an overlap between Text and Visual Collection, because of the decorative and/or illustrative elements used in them. [ Manuscript Studies Medieval and Early Modern]
