Rationale of the Unit
| Museums often offer a walking tour for their key exhibits. The guide for this may be a person, or it may be in the form of a brochure, an annotated map, or an audio recording. Today we are beginning to see cyberdocents as guides for these tours. This unit contains acitvities to learn about the history of information and communication technologies, and specifically the role of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, by writing a guide for a tour of key events in that history. |
