Updating goals:

1. Assess my receipts from the past month. Categorize them and update my MYM spreadsheets accordingly. 2. Complete all MYM spreadsheets and begin to follow my new plan. 3. Increase MM acct from $3000 to $4000. 4. Make plan for paying off highest interest remaining debt asap. 5. Follow up on getting a copy of my summer contract. 5. Dialogues, Discussions, and Presentations
It's important to be aware of obstacles that stand in our way. Identifying barriers is the first step in overcoming them!
A number of barriers can get in the way of achieving our financial goals.
These include:
__ Lack of confidence
__ Understanding of credit and debt
_x_ Stress related to our family lives
__ Stress related to our work lives
_x_ Lack of time
__ Racism and Sexism
Put an "x" in front of the ones you think affect you personally.
Are there any others that affect you?
Socialization (including gender socialization) Lack of a sesne of urgency in the past Procrastination
How might you address these barriers?
Awareness of them. CREATE TIME. Prioritize making my plan. Rely on ways other than spending money to relieve stress. Prioritize relieving stress, keeping it all in balance. Teach/socialize Coltrane and Irie and thereby resocialize myself to be a good steward/financially responsible. Make a weekly plan that includes setting aside time to deal with finances, both long term and short term. |
